CelebnMusic247.com reports that on Friday, 32-year-old Tahliah Debrett Barnett, best known as FKA Twigs is suing Shia LaBeouf saying she experienced “relentless abuse” during their relationship.
FKA Twigs is accusing him of abusing her and knowingly giving her a sexually transmitted disease.
She said:
What I went through with Shia was the worst thing I’ve ever been through in the whole of my life. I don’t think people would ever think that it would happen to me. But I think that’s the thing. It can happen to anybody.
How Twigs Met LeBeouf:
The two met after being cast in his autobiographical film “Honey Boy.”
They dated for almost a year, and when things started to fizzle out between the couple, Twigs says that’s when LaBeouf’s emotional, physical, and mental abuse began.
The artist details an incident that happened in Feb. 2019. According to the Times article, Twigs says she and LaBeouf were in the desert where he “raged at her throughout the trip,” waking her up once “in the middle of the night, choking her.”
Twigs adds that when the two were on their way back to Los Angeles, LaBeouf began driving recklessly, “removing his seatbelt and threatening to crash unless she professed her love for him.”

After she begged to be let out of the car, she said he pulled over at a gas station, and she took her bags from the trunk. According to the suit, Mr. LaBeouf followed and assaulted her, throwing her against the car while screaming in her face. He then forced her back in the car, the article states.
Twigs, who was in shock, scared, and didn’t leave out of fear told the Times:
I just thought to myself, no one is ever going to believe me. I’m unconventional. And I’m a person of color who is a female.
LaBeouf’s girlfriends also states that LaBeouf abused her. She claims that two years ago LaBeouf drunkenly pinned her to a bed and head-butted her, making her bleed.
LaBeouf responded to the lawsuit, saying:
I’m not in any position to tell anyone how my behavior made them feel. I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalizations. I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years. I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I’m ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say.
Twigs took to Instagram and shared her reason for coming forward:
I hope that by sharing my experience, I can truly help others feel like they are not alone and shed some light on how those who are worried somebody they care about may be in an abusive relationship can help because I understand it can be confusing and hard to know what to do.
