First Look at Chadwick Boseman in Get On Up
Universal Pictures has released the first official trailer for the James Brown biopic, Get On Up starring Chadwick Boseman.
CelebNMusic247.com has some information on Chadwick Boseman, who portrays the Godfather of Soul in the upcoming movie that chronicles the ups and downs of Brown’s life of the innovative, history-making and often trouble-prone star.
The 42 star takes on the legendary artist of soul, James Brown as the film, Get On Up explores the music, moves and moods of Brown. The movie will let movie goers see the journey of James Brown from his impoverished childhood to his evolution into one of the most influential figures of the 20th century.
Brown died Christmas Day in 2006. Following his death, his family fought for years over his final resting place.
The film stars Oscar winner Octavia Spencer, Oscar nominee Viola Davis, Dan Aykroyd, Jill Scott, Craig Robinson, Nelsan Ellis, Tika Sumpter, Keith Robinson, New Edition’s Ralph Tresvant, Lennie James and Julius Tennon.
Get On Up is directed by The Help’s Tate Taylor. The film also stars. There have already been talkd of the role of James Brown played by Chadwick Boseman could land him an Oscar nomination in the Best Actor category.
