Do you remember the hit HBO show The Wire? Well we just got word that The Wire Star Wendell Pierce Arrested and its over politics!!!

Get all the details on Wendell Pierce getting arrested on the flip…

CelebNMusic247.com has just caught wind that Wendell Pierce, best known for his role as ‘Bunk’ in the hit HBO series ‘The Wire’ was arrested in the A!

Now we don’t mean is butt, we talking the A, as in Atlanta, apparently Wendell Pierce is very serious when it comes to politics.

Here is the report via BallerAlert:

According to reports, Pierce was at the Loews hotel in Atlanta at 3:30am Sunday morning where he engaged in some small talk with a couple. At some point the topic of politics comes up. Pierce is a huge Hillary supporter, while the couple professed their love for Bernie Sanders.

TMZ reports that Pierce became enraged, pushing the boyfriend and smacking the woman while grabbing her hair. Pierce was arrested and taken into Fulton County Jail where he was charged with simple battery. He was released after posting $1,000 bail.

ATL police said in a statement:

“The incident did not rise to anything significant, so no special notification was made.”

“It was treated like any other arrest a patrol officer conducts. Mr. Pierce made no indication he was famous nor did the officer inquire.”

We are so glad he didn’t pull the “do you know who I am.” Pierce just earned bonus point for being a stand up man and speaking out for what he believes. Too bad he was arrested for supporting Hilary.

It’s crazy but since Trump is in the running this year, politics is a bit more violent and there are more arrests.

What do you think about Wendell Pierce’s arrest?
