CelebNMusic247.com is still trying to wrap our brain around this one after hearing that moments after murdering his boyfriend in a Bronx walkup, Marcus Bellamy confessed?
According to reports, Marcus, 32, admitted to beating and strangling his partner, Bernardo Almonte, to death. He claimed:
“Forgive me…I did it for love. I did it because I love you. He told me love and hate are the same emotion.”
Wait, what, huh?
What happened to breaking up? Killing for love?
It gets worse, Bellamy, who is now facing murder and manslaughter charges for killing the 27-year-old freelance IT technician also said:
“I am God.”
Bellamy’s Facebook posts were riddled with Scripture verses:
“I give life and can take it away.”
“For god so lived the world that he gave his only son.”
A law enforcement source said Bellamy strangled his lover as they brawled inside the W. 174th St. home in Morris Heights. Police said Almonte was found in the fifth-floor apartment face down, bleeding from a blow to the head.
Marcus Bellamy bit both of Almonte’s shoulders during the fatal fight, cops said. As for the argument, the information has not been disclosed.
This is our research on Marcus and all of it is speculation, but if you go through his social media like we did you can see that there were things bothering him. Things he questioned, like all of us, but what pushed him over the edge is the question?
In january 2016, Marcus posted this video on YouTube. He seemed perfectly normal, so what drove him to kill his lover?
Before his scripture verse, we noticed that Marcus was starting to have a breakdown of sorts, saying:
“I have been foolish. Nevermind. False Alarm. #theuniverse”
Then one day before he killed his lover he wrote:
“Trust me. This is just the beginning. Of a whole new world.”
But before that post, Marcus was posting photos of Jesus flashing Illuminati symbolism. He spoke of God, and that he (Marcus) is not God. One of his friends weighed in saying Crystal Meth and religion was NOT a good mix. And in another post on Facebook seemed that Marcus was doubting his relationship. Insecurities looked to be running wild through his mind on August 19th, one day before the murder or his freelance IT technician boyfriend.
Marcus posted these messages on August 19th in the early morning hours. There was no sign of killer instinct or intention to kill. It sounds like the two might have just had a lover’s quarrel that had a fatal ending.

Marcus Bellamy seemed to fighting some inner demons, relationship and even questioning his faith. His social media, from Facebook to Instagram is filled with religious symbolism over the past 6 months. If you go back to 2014, he was just a guy looking for someone to love him and accept him for who he is.
If you thought he was a bit off, this might give you an idea of what he posts on social media. He comes off inspirational at times and then slightly obsessive about religion. Some where something went left?
