Trump's Washington + Thomas Jefferson Comparison Ridiculous

Trump’s Washington + Thomas Jefferson Comparison Ridiculous

Donald Trump is questioning what America stands for these days since the Charlottesville riots. The President is blaming both sides for rioting! Once again Trump is twisting the truth and insinuating blacks were involved. It was all white people in the photos.

Then, he takes us all the way back, and decided to give the journalists a history lesson. Donald Trump raised the question “should we take down the Washington and Jefferson Monuments?” Read on…

Should The Washington + Jefferson Monuments Be Torn Down

CelebNMusic247.com is actually TIRED of anything Trump, until today. This has caught our attention, because President Donald Trump is proving he’s supporting backing the white nationalist.

What is disturbing is that America was built on the slaughtering of the Indians – taking their land, forcing the Mexican’s south to the deserts of Baha – enslaving thousands of Africans and forcing them to pick cotton and tend to white slave owners. Now it’s all being thrown into the forefront thanks to Trump’s backwards comparison.

How Did Trump Get In Office Again?

President Donald Trump won the election because the KKK, now called the White Nationalist came out in force and voted to get him in office. Since then, racism has been at an all time high, and White nationalist, nation wide have taken liberties to speak their minds, hate and be racist against anyone and everyone they don’t like or deem unworthy.

Trump has stated those people NEED to be removed from our country, but that will NEVER happen. Instead, Donald Trump is now pointing the finger at our national monuments. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Robert E. Lee.

Washington was the only slave owner, Thomas Jefferson was against slavery and Lee was the a general in the confederate war. How is any of this going to “make America Great?”

President Trump asked if statues of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson should be removed since they owned slaves.

Umm, does Trump realize he has his history wrong?

It is NOT Thomas Jefferson who owned slaves. The man he is talking about is actually Jefferson Davis. Before American Civil War, Davis operated a large cotton plantation in Mississippi. He owned as many as 74 slaves. Jefferson served under U.S. President Franklin Pierce from 1853 to 1857. He is also the man that Robert E. Lee answered to during the Civil War.

Sounds like Trump NEEDS to do some FACT checking – thanks for the FAKE NEWS Pres! #TrumpTwistsTruth

Would taking down the George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Robert E. Lee down Change Anything?

In case you didn’t know – Washington, the man on the dollar bill was an active slave holder for 56 years. though, it was said that George Washington struggled with the institution of slavery and spoke frequently of his desire to end the practice.

In 1743, George Washington became a slave owner at the early age of eleven after his father Augustine died. Washington was willed ten slaves. As a young adult, Washington purchased at least eight more slaves, including a carpenter named Kitt. Washington purchased more enslaved people in 1755, including four men, two women, and a child. out of the 317 enslaved people living at Mount Vernon in 1799, a little less than half (123 individuals) were owned by George Washington himself. The Washington monument has always been said to be a symbol of the KKK ( a white man in a white hood with red eyes at night). That alone still promote oppression.

Thomas Jefferson was against Slavery – At the time of the American Revolution, Jefferson was actively involved in legislation that he hoped would result in slavery’s abolition. In 1778, he drafted a Virginia law that prohibited the importation of enslaved Africans. In 1784, he proposed an ordinance that would ban slavery in the Northwest territories. Read on…

Robert E. Lee monument was at the center of “Unite the Right” rally that turned deadly in Charlottesville last weekend because Lee was a general of the confederacy in the 1800’s. The white supremacists, neo-Nazis and others were rioting last weekend over the removal of the confederate commanding general statue.

“It’s often forgotten that Lee himself, after the Civil War, opposed monuments, specifically Confederate war monuments,” said Jonathan Horn.

Removing the Washington Monument would dramatically change history and what our country stands for.

Is that the way to go?

Trump lashed out at reporters Tuesday, defending those protesting the removal of the Confederate General’s statue in Charlottesville. Then, Trump had the audacity to compare George Washington to Thomas Jefferson. Two men that were on polar opposite sides of the Civil War. There is NO comparison.

Curt Viebranz, a rep at Mount Vernon and GW’s estate says that Trump’s connection of the two is ridiculous. There is no denying George was a slave owner, however No.1’s views changed with time. Washington ended up being the founding father to eventually release his slaves after owning slaves for 56 years.

The George Washington Estate CALLS BS on Trump’s Comparison:

Viebranz says the real difference is that GW’s statues aren’t “lightning rods for white nationalists” and their rallies.

Trump has once again come off like a white nationalist supporter since his comparison is weak. It’s just another time where Trump has gone ahead and twisted the truth of what really went down. White supremacy is at fault for the riots. The same people elected him in office and the same people he wants condemned.

Don’t bite the hand that feeds you Trump, because they will turn on you!
