The Walking Dead’s Daniel Newman is OUT AND PROUD to let the world know he’s GAY, because he’s TIRED of “dodging” questions about his sexuality.
Daniel Newman explains why he felt it was time to come out and say he’s gay…

CelebNMusic247.com has just learned via a video that Daniel Newman, 35, released an online video thanking his fans for their support and opening up about his decision to ‘come out’.
Recently the Walking Dead star told People.com:
“I don’t want to be hidden and have to dodge the question I’m proud of who I am. I grew up in a very conservative southern Georgia home, and it didn’t really matter what your sexuality was – it just wasn’t open conversation. It was always, ‘Don’t talk about your private life’, so I was so used to that. I didn’t really think about it really as hiding.”
Daniel Newman goes on to say:
“I never thought of myself as being in a closet or hidden. It just was that I didn’t really feel like talking about my private life.”
Newman decided to come clean after realizing youths at an LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) shelter at which he volunteered assumed he was straight. And what is the problem with that? Why can’t gay men hold a certain stature to themselves? Does everyone NEED to KNOW?
Here is what Daniel Newman had to say about that:
“I said, ‘I’m not straight’, and then they said, ‘Well, why haven’t you ever said that in public? I’ve never read that anywhere. That was just a big wake up call for me that these kids need every role model that they can get.”
He concluded:
“I think it’s really important in our culture, at this time, that everybody is just honest about who they are. It’s such an amazing community and it doesn’t make sense to hide who you are.”
Here is his video he posted on social media:
He said:
“Thanks for all the love from around the world! Share this & write ” #OUTANDPROUD” in your social media to support Message me if you need someone to talk to!“
Newman played Daniel in The Walking Dead in five episodes. We commend Daniel for coming out. We get it, its time to stand up. #OutandProud
