True Blood The Final Season
Every good thing comes to an end and True Blood has given fans great TV for six great years and now the HBO series is coming to an end with the final season 7.
It seems like yesterday we meant Sookie Stackhouse and her lust for Vampires. Since then she has dicovered she’s a ferry, wrestled around with wolves and had her fair share of vamps. She’s like catnip for kitties when it comes to vampire. From shape shifters, humans, witches, paranormals, wolves, and corupt politicians True Blood has touched on religion, racism, discrimination, socialism and the rise of Billith, it’s TV to stimulate your mind and we can’t wait for the final season.
Last season, True Blood ultimately undid a lot of the chaos that had been set up (and mostly misfired … Billith …) from its prior two seasons. But in the epilogue, there was hope that things might go back to some of the campy charm of its first and second seasons. Reading into the sixth season’s epilogue, the upcoming seventh season might contain stories and characters grounded back in Bon Temps, with more of a focus on the humans (and the town) rather than just the supernaturals and their world.
As for the supernaturals, the introduction last season of the Hep V virus, which turns vampires into zombies, makes for an interesting twist that will surely lead to a lot of bloodshed (and then some). Like The Leftovers, True Blood will also have a 10-episode season, which should allow the series enough time to give viewers a few new adventures before saying goodbye.
HBO will start showing teasers this Sunday, April 6th (before the season premiere of Game of Thrones) though True Blood‘s is already available online.
