Yesterday we reported that Troy Ave FIRED OFF shots with a new diss track “Bad Ass” directed at Joey Badass, but now Joey has gone and thrown Troy under the bus with some old tweets.
Things are Getting REAL Messy!
The Brooklyn rappers have extended their feud to Queen, pulling Nas into the middle of their beef. See, Troy, born Roland Collins, continued to diss the deceased Capital Steez of Pro Era. This morning Ave called into Sway in the Morning and addressed his Joey Bada$$ diss track, “Bad A**,” and rapping that Pro Era’s rapper Capital STEEZ—who committed suicide in 2012—was “burning in hell.”
The rap was truly disrespectful and very ugly, but Troy continued to cross the line saying that he was extremely religious and thinks that STEEZ was a “bozo” and a “d*ckhead” for taking his own life
Here is what Troy Ave said on Sway in the Morning:
Both rappers are trying to claim Brooklyn their turf, but dissing each other in raps like “Ready” by Joey Badass and “Bad Ass” by Troy Ave. Both rappers are trying to be the Independent King of New York!
Without thinking about his words offending Capital Steez family, friends and fans, Ave says:
“I don’t care…I don’t start-up with nobody, I finish it.” He goes on to say “Fake n***as always trying to start shit!”
He goes on to say that it says a lot about Joey’s character and the friends he keeps, talking about Capital Steez.
After Troy continued to diss the deceased Capital Steez of Pro Era, Joey put his adversary on blast by posting some of the BSB rhymer’s old tweets that criticized Nas. He calls Capital Steez a Buster!

Troy’s past messages (dated between 2009 – 2011) include him calling Nas a “weirdo” and a “sucka.”
Joey added his own commentary by writing:
“This brotha been buggin… Get [Troy] the f*ck outta here… No mercy for this man.”
We don’t condone Troy Ave‘s words against Capital Steez. Nor are we condoning Joey Badass’ behavior, but one of these guys NEEDS TO REAL UP and END this beef!
