Thomas Markle's Mexico Storage Unit Raided

Authorities in Mexico raided a storage unit rented by Thomas Markle Sr. in the early hours of Saturday, the latest development in the widening investigation surrounding Meghan Markle‘s estranged father, according to TMZ.

According to TMZ, investigators entered the unit in Rosarito, the Baja California beach town just south of the U.S. border where Markle lived for years, shortly after midnight local time. The search was carried out under a warrant seeking evidence of alleged child sexual abuse material, TMZ reports. A computer, thumb drives, VHS tapes and magazines were inventoried and removed, and the unit was sealed with an official seizure notice.

The unit sits a few miles from Markle’s former home in Rosarito. According to TMZ, he first rented it in 2017 and fell behind on payments roughly two years ago, leaving belongings behind when he moved to the Philippines in early 2025. The raid came a day after journalists who inspected the unit said they alerted the FBI to material they believed they had found inside it.

The Mexico search runs parallel to the investigation in the Philippines, where authorities seized phones, computers and other devices from Markle’s home earlier this month, according to TMZ. Philippine officials have said the forensic examination of that material is ongoing. TMZ has also reported that the FBI is aware of the allegations and will support Philippine authorities as appropriate.

Markle has denied the allegations against him. No charges arising from the Mexico search had been announced as of publication, and the contents of the seized material have not been independently verified. CelebnMusic247 will update this story as officials in Mexico and the Philippines release their findings.
