Tammy Rivera wants to know why is there much talk in the news about the three black girls who have gone missing in the DC area?

CelebNReality247.com got Tammy Rivera point of view on the topic, because she has a little girl and being a mother is a very scary thing.

As a parent this is the last thing you want to see your child appear on a police twitter feed stating your daughter is missing. The news hit Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star Tammy Rivera hard and now she wants answers why there is no public outcry about this? Why is the news NOT talking about the girls missing. She states if they were white girls the media would be all over it. This is tha capital of the United States, what is going on?

In the second 24hrs, Tammy unleashed her feelings about the three girls missing in DC. She said:

“Well it’s been more than 24hours so I will correct myself and some have been found BUT can we as ppl make this news trending ourselves seeing as tho there is not much help from the media!!! I’m sorry I can’t hold this one in!”

The story grew mass attention when images of the kids popped up in haunting succession on the police department’s Twitter feed. “All these missing black girls coming from D.C. And Maryland!!” one Twitter user wrote. “Where is the public outcry??”

Time is downplaying the missing persons:

The news site states that, between March 19 and March 24, a dozen black and Latino children were declared missing by police in the nation’s capital. Which still asks the question, why has the news sites just brushed over it like yesterdays past?

If you go to the DC police department’s Twitter feed it is rather overwhelming since there are so many missing people every day in the US capital. It’s scary to think about. An article surfaced earlier this month claiming that 14 girls went missing in DC in 24hrs.  The shocking headline has raised eyebrows questioning the safety of the DC area. But if you look at the facts, the 14 girls missing is actually over a 3 month period for 2017.

The number is still alarming, but since the police department decided to use twitter to find these girls the public has been extremely helpful. There is a FULL List of the girls who went missing at Mefeater.com – however, the missing persons list continues to grow on the police department’s Twitter feed.

On Friday, NPR reports:

The city’s Metropolitan Police Department told NBC’s local affiliate that at no point in recent weeks have 14 girls disappeared from the city in a single day. Rather, D.C. “has logged a total of 501 cases of missing juveniles, many of them black or Latino,” NBC reports, citing law enforcement. As of March 26, police say all but 22 of those cases have been solved.

Meanwhile, NYMagazine states:

Social media is helping Washington search for its missing black teens. What the Police department has started is awareness for it community. The social-media awareness campaign exploded thanks to Tina Knowles and Nicki Minaj posted about it on the gram; while, LL Cool J, Sean Diddy Combs, and Viola Davis used Twitter.

“Seven black girls have been reported as missing in DC in the last 72 hours,” wrote one user. “It takes 3.2 secs to retweet and help find these 8 BLACK GIRLS reported missing in Washington, D.C. during the past three days,” wrote another. Both tweets went viral, and soon D.C. officials were moving to tamp down the concerns.

Though, their efforts have done little to ease people’s fears. Last week, hundreds of residents packed a high-school auditorium in Southeast D.C. for an emotional community forum with local politicians and police, demanding to know what they were doing to bring down the numbers of missing children.

Concerned parent Tammy Rivera is speaking out because she wants to know, what are DC police doing about finding these girls?
