It’s time to get excited because Sylvester Stallone is back on his action movie regiment with Escape Plan 2 and 3 (possibly).
Sylvester Stallone has a lot of sequels on his plate these days since he was nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Creed. Now, he’s back on his action movie grind and we can’t get enough of the Italian Stallion…
CelebNMovies247.com got this new first-hand via Sylvester Stallone, who posted a video on the set of The Escape Plan 2.
Back in October, Emmet/Furla/Oasis revealed that it had green-lit the sequel Escape Plan 2. of course, Sylvester Stallone was back on board to reprise his role as Ray Breslin.
“On location filming EXCAPE PLAN 2 HADES WITH Dave Bautista and Jesse Metcalfe…”
This time around, Sly will be in prison with Dave Bautista, 50 Cent, Wes Chatham, Jesse Metcalfe and more… Sorry no Arnold Schwarzenegger this time around. Shooting got under way in Atlanta, Georgia this week, and earlier today, Sylvester Stallone sent out the first video from the set.
In the Instavideo, you can see Sly’s bloodied face, along with his co-star Dave Bautista and new cast member Jesse Metcalfe. According to Stallone the robot brawl is part of the ending of the movie.
Stallone gives some inside details:
Stallone writes:
“On location filming EXCAPE PLAN 2 HADES WITH Dave Bautista and Jesse Metcalfe … The scene was interesting challenge and turned out great … the film it really has a lot of energy and action Very glad to be part of it. I got a feeling they may be wanting to do a third one pretty soon… Count me in.@davebautista #Lions gate #EscapePlan2”
He continued his big reveal with these words:
“On the set of ESCAPE PLAN 2. with my new hardheaded enemy! There was a time when I thought it would never be possible that I would have to go against a robot. Now I don’t mind fighting with just about anybody but there’s something insane about hitting a techno-thug with a head of metal and no nerves , And certainly no sense of humor, that can take the joy out of one’s life. Anyway the shoot is going great in Atlanta! #lionsgate #Atlanta. #robots #metal #guardians of the galaxy”
Prior to the robot reveal, Stallone announced he and David Bautista were working on Escape Plan 2:
“Myself and the dynamic Dave Bautista who is starring in the new GUARDIAN OF THE GALAXY 2 filming in Atlanta. This guy is what you would call seriously imposing. Pure power and a great personality. We never got to meet on guardians of the galaxy , But as fate would have it here we are kicking butt together in The upcoming movie called … HADES ( escape plan part two ) hopefully we can do more in the future too!@davebautista #lionsgate #escapeplan2”
Original Escape Plan Box Office:
The original Escape Plan followed Sylvester Stallone’s Ray Breslin, a security expert who is set up and sent to the world’s most impenetrable prison. He teams up with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Rottmayer to break out and clear his name once and for all. Escape Plan wasn’t a huge hit domestically, but its overseas take in China is a big reason this sequel is going forward.
Escape Plan only earned $25.1 million domestically, but it earned an additional $112.1 million worldwide, $40.9 million of which came directly from China. This action sequel is being produced by Beijing-based Leomus Pictures and Emmett/Furla/Oasis, with Mark Canton also producing, under a $20 million budget.
