Did you hear, Shallow Hal Actor Dead at 32?

CelebNMusic247.com has learned that actor Joshua Shintani died last week from pneumonia. He was only 32.

According to reports, Joshua Shintani was rushed to the hospital by his mother early last week in Kauai, Hawaii, but doctors were unable to save him.

He had become something of a local legend in his Hawaii hometown after he appeared in “Shallow Hal,” a film in which actor Jack Black is hypnotized to only see a physical representation of someone’s inner beauty.

The movie also starred Gwyneth Paltrow. As for Shintani, he played a character named Li’iBoy, who sits on a bench next to actor Jason Alexander and plays “Never Forget Where I’m From” on the ukulele.

Shintani was discovered by director Peter Farrelly while he was on vacation in Hawaii and noticed Shintani playing his ukulele outside of a public library.

Back in 2002, Shintani recalled how he was plucked up by Farrelly to the The Garden Island newspaper.

RIP Joshua Shintani.
