In the wake of Alton Sterling’s murder by police July 5, The Game has had it with the social media activism of today. The West Coast rapper posted a lengthy Instagram message demanding Black people do more to fight back. BUT NOT Retaliate in violence of killing police.
Game makes a valid point with this statement (along with the photo above):
“They say it was a suicide…. Let me let you in on a little secret: The last thing a Black Man will do is hang himself from a tree in the south. The KKK were handing out flyers for a Klu Klux Klan rally in Piedmont & the next day a black man is found hanging from a tree in Piedmont”
The West Coast rapper Game is tired of the hashtags and black people NOT standing up for their equal rights. First he called out the black community saying:
“All we gone do is repost it & type “SMH” over & over again huh ?? Then we gone put #JusticeForAltonSterling & #BlackLivesMatter hashtags on Instagram & pretend that’s us taking action huh ???”
Then the rapper Game questioned what has happened to this generation, saying:
“What happened to the generation of people who stood together, held hands & took to the streets peacefully or violently if it had to come to that & wouldn’t move or be detoured from that stance until real results were handed over to us ?!?!?”
He continued:
“WTF is wrong with us these days that we will sit here & watch a video of yet another innocent man shot & killed in cold blood by police officers in this country ?!?!”
Rapper Game posted this message shortly after Alton Sterlings murder by two white police officers:
On Friday, (this morning around 6:30 AM) The Game made a call for action posting on his Instagram account a call for black, Mexican and men of all races to march to the Los Angeles Police Department’s headquarters.
Jayceon Taylor then stated:
It’s time to “make the Californian government & it’s law branches aware that from today forward, we will be UNIFIED as minorities & we will no longer allow them to hunt us or be hunted by us !!!”
Rapper Game said women and children should stay away, “THIS IS OUR MISSION FOR THEM!”
He wrote:
“Operation H.U.N.T Meet NOW at Joe’s auto park parking 1221 west 3rd street Los Angeles California 90017 Calling: ALL AFRICAN AMERICAN MEN, MEXICAN AMERICAN MEN & any other RACE of REAL MEN with heart to stand with us today & walk peacefully to the LAPD headquarters. The VIOLENCE NEEDS TO STOP! Police NEED to take responsibility for their actions! And the cops who have been killing innocent black men should NOT be free. They should be imprisoned for life or sent to the chair!
