KAABOO made sure to have an assortment of bands for everyones taste buds. We loved that two of our favorite college bands were there to kick off year one of KAABOO Del Mar, X + Counting Crows!!!

CelebNMusic247.com had an amazing time at KAABOO but when John Doe, Exene Cervenka, Billy Zoom, D. J. Bonebrake, Dave Alvin, Tony Gilkyson of X hit the stage it was over. X is legendary!

The Los Angeles native punk rock band has been going strong since 1977 and there’s no stopping them. X is a one of a kind band like the Ramones, Sex Pistols, Blonde and Social Distortion. If you were into the punk rock scene in the 70s and 80s then you know what we are talking about because X RULED!

X is a Los Angeles staple for those of you not in the know. Just like San Diego’s fan favorite Slightly Stoopid, X was the perfect band to kick off the Inagural year of KAABOO.

Another great group that we haven’t seen in years is Counting Crows. It was so great to see Adam Duritz, David Bryson, Charlie Gillingham, Dan Vickrey, David Immerglück, Jim Bogios and Millard Powers of Counting Crows.

It had been over 20 years since we fanned out to see the Counting Crows back in the bumble bee girl days. Lead singer Adam Duritz still got the crowd going. And like always his magnanimous style of performing kept festival goers engaged.

The Counting Crows took us back for sure with a great set with hits like Setlist
