Most shows promote a new season with a poster and a press day. Percy Jackson did something smarter: it took the fandom to the fans. Percy Jackson and the Olympians was a highlight event at the 60th edition of Lucca Comics & Games, where stars Walker Scobell, Leah Sava’ Jeffries and Aryan Simhadri made their first Lucca appearance alongside co-creator and executive producer Jonathan E. Steinberg and executive producer Dan Shotz, per Disney+ Media Relations.

A panel, a piazza and a pavilion
On Friday, October 30, the cast and creative team held a dedicated Q&A panel at Cinema Moderno, discussing upcoming storylines, sharing behind-the-scenes anecdotes and unveiling exclusive clips from the third season, per the release. Then the show spilled out of the cinema: the series took over Piazza San Michele for the Camp Half-Blood Gathering and a dedicated carpet appearance, and the cast visited the immersive “Percy Jackson Experience” pavilion in Piazza della Magione for a fan meet-and-greet and poster signing. That is three different kinds of fan contact in one weekend — the panel for the lore hunters, the carpet for the cameras, and the signing line for the kids who have carried these books around for years.
Season 3 premieres November 20, exclusively on Disney+ and Hulu, per the release. Follow the build-up on Instagram at @DisneyPlus and @PercySeries, on TikTok at @percyseries and on X at @PercySeries — and join the conversation with #PercyJackson.
The Titan’s Curse raises the stakes
Season 3 is based on “The Titan’s Curse,” the third book in Rick Riordan‘s Disney Hyperion series, and the premise is the darkest the show has attempted: Annabeth is captured by the forces of Kronos, and Percy must rescue her, free a goddess in chains, confront the Titan’s curse and avoid triggering the fall of Olympus, per the release. Season 3 stars Scobell, Jeffries and Simhadri alongside Charlie Bushnell, Tamara Smart and Levi Chrisopulos; the series was created by Riordan and Steinberg. Seasons 1–2 are streaming now on Disney+.
What Lucca really proved is positioning. This franchise is no longer “a promising book adaptation” — it is an event property that can anchor a corner of Europe’s biggest comics festival and hold a piazza. Dropping exclusive Season 3 clips in front of that crowd, three weeks out from premiere, is how you turn anticipation into appointment viewing.
The 247 Take — The Cinephile has seen plenty of victory laps disguised as promotion. This was not one. Lucca was a show of force from a series that knows exactly who its audience is — and Season 3’s rescue mission gives that audience its most personal quest yet.
