We just go word that former Basketball Wives star Kenya Bell has teamed up with Nicki Minaj to drop new music.
The Hip-Hop Socialite recaps the hottest celebrity news and gossip of the last week, and drops a few exclusives is giving some new dish. CelebNMusic247.com has learned that Kenya Bell who was ridiculed by her former castmates on Basketball Wives (Eveln Lozada, Nicole Murphy, Tami Roman and Suzie Ketcham) is dropping new music.

It’s 2014 and collaborations have taken over the charts, but a few days ago, I was given ‘the scoop’ on one of the most unexpected collaborations of the last few years – a song featuring a ‘basketball wife’ and Nicki Minaj. That’s right, former Basketball Wives cast member Kenya Bell couldn’t work it out with Evelyn, Shaunie, and the crew, but it looks like she’s found a friend in the most high profile female emcee in the game with the track “Bells & Whistles.”
To be perfectly honest, when I first heard “Bells & Whistles”, I came right out and asked my source how Kenya managed to get Nicki on the track. Along with being labeled as the kitten heel wearing ”crazy” cast member, Kenya’s one season on Basketball Wives was marked by her less than impressive attempts at becoming a singer. But my source tells me, “[Kenya] can actually sing but has been portrayed on TV as a bumbling R&B wannabe by [Basketball Wives] producers.” According to my source, ”Bells & Whistles” is an actual collaboration feature, and not just an edit stuck together. Recorded sometime last year, the track is supposed to be featured on Kenya’s upcoming album currently wrapping up production.
In addition to her continuing pursuit for music superstardom, my source tells me that Kenya is working on a deal that will bring her back to television in a solo project that will focus on her story after Basketball Ball Wives. Apparently, the show will focus on Kenya dealing with a high profile divorce (from former NBA player Charlie Bell), focusing on her music career, balancing her new life as a single mom, and dating in New York City.
