Sources familiar with the production say Nathan Fielder developed a fondness for Elizabeth Holmes while filming their documentary.

Nathan Fielder has not said anything of the kind himself — but people around his new film are saying it for him. Sources familiar with the production of “You Can See Everything” told Page Six that the director appeared to develop more than a passing fondness for Elizabeth Holmes during filming. Those are sources’ claims, attributed here exactly as Page Six reported them, and Fielder did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
What the Sources Claimed
“I think Nathan fell in love with Lizzie,” a well-placed movie source told Page Six. “I think he totally fell for her.”
“Nathan knows how he feels about Elizabeth. Whether he shares his feelings in public is yet to be seen,” another source close to the production added.
Page Six reported that sources believed that dynamic may help explain why Holmes’s longtime partner, Billy Evans, emerges in a less-than-flattering light in the film. Evans, 34, has been with Holmes, 42, since they got engaged in 2018, and they share two young children, William, now 5, and Invicta, now 3.
34 Days Living in the Same House
The closeness, on camera at least, had an unusual setup. Fielder, 43, and co-director Lance Oppenheim moved into the small rental home in Del Mar, California, that Holmes and Evans shared with their children, for 34 days leading up to Holmes’s surrender to prison in May 2023.
The documentary was filmed shortly before Holmes began her prison sentence for fraud connected to Theranos, the blood-testing company she founded, which once carried a $9 billion valuation before it was exposed. In one of the film’s final moments, Page Six noted, Fielder is seen swimming in the ocean with Holmes after she lures him into the water.
“It was a three-year-plus process and a pretty all-consuming experience, so you inevitably develop a bond,” the production source told Page Six. “The crew played guitar for the kids, helped babysit, and celebrated birthdays together.”
Fielder’s Own Words Stop Short
For his part, Fielder has described confusion, not romance. “I still am not sure to this day what I experienced,” he said at a Q&A after a screening earlier this month, per Page Six. He has also spoken openly about a strained relationship with Evans, saying communication had broken down.
The film itself has become a critical and financial hit, grossing more than $45 million, according to Page Six, with Oscar buzz around its directors. Page Six also reported Fielder was most recently linked to author Emma Cline, and that gossip site DeuxMoi alleged this week that the couple had split — again, an attributed claim, not a confirmed fact.
The 247 Take — A source saying “fell in love” is gossip, not a confession, and Fielder’s silence keeps it that way. The film asks whether Holmes fooled everyone — including, maybe, the man holding the camera.
