Nate Parker Unapologetic For 1999 Rape Case

It seems when you get more successful, the dirt from the past always rises and that is one reason why actor/director Nate Parker refuses to apologize for the 1999 Rape Case!?!

You might be questioning Nate Parker and his reasoning, but flip and find out why he feels that his past should be left in the past…

Nate Parker Unapologetic For 1999 Rape Case

CelebNMusic247.com has this report on the controversy surrounding actor/director Nate Parker. With Birth of a Nation just weeks away from its theater opening, the controversy continues.

If you recall, Parker and his Birth of a Nation co-writer Jean Celestin were accused of sexually assaulting a fellow student during their time as students at Penn State in the late 90s. After it was all said and done, Celestin was convicted and later won an appeal, while Parker was acquitted in 2001.

However, it seems that someone is making sure to defame Nate Parker since Birth of a Nation is causing major waves of great reviews?

Why is Nate Parker and Jean Celestin past being brought back up?

According to Variety, The case resurfaced in August, when the woman who accused Parker and Celestin committed suicide in 2012. That is NOT their fault. That is on the woman who took her own life. It’s unfortunate, but unfortunately her past seems to drag Parker and Celestin into her death.

Why?

The family feels it was a direct result of the trauma she suffered during that time period. Her sister even wrote a powerful op-ed on the subject for Variety.

What we feel:

Bad things happen to everyone. We are NOT saying rape is easy to get over, but one NEEDS to find peace to move forward and forget the past. That is why we forget things and remember others. Everyone’s perceptions is different, but if you always dwell in the past and NEVER let go and forgive. No matter what the incident, it will consume you and take over your mind. You will lose yourself and everything that could be. Sometimes change is good and if the woman NEVER got over it, she should have gotten help. Changed her surroundings and done something to help her move forward. Sometimes family NEEDS to support change for the health of their siblings instead of rehashing and embracing the tragedy. That could have been the reason why she couldn’t let it go. Her sister sounds like she continued to remind her of it. Plus Nate Parker’s fame most likely didn’t help.

How is Nate Parker handling it?

In an upcoming 60 Minutes special, Parker sits down with Anderson Cooper for his first televised interview since the 1999 rape case was first uncovered last month.

During the clip released by CBS, Cooper asks Parker if he feels guilty for what happened that night. Parker responds, saying, “I don’t feel guilty.”

Cooper continues, asking if Parker felt he had done something “morally wrong,” and the director replies:

“As a Christian man, just being in that situation, yeah, sure. I’m 36 years old right now, and my faith is very important to me. So looking back at that lens, I definitely feel like, it’s not the lens I had when I was 19 years old.”

Parker add that he was Fasley accused, suggesting that he had nothing to do with the rape:

“I was falsely accused…I went to court…I was vindicated.”

“I feel terrible that this woman isn’t here…her family had to deal with that, but as I sit here, an apology is — no.”

We guess the big question is this, “did he have sex with her?” Was it consensual? And it was college so did she want to have a three way and then claimed rape? There are so many things that could have happened. None of us were there. And lets be real how many people reading this has had sex with two other people at the same time in college?

If you say no, you’re lying to yourself. We all tried it. Either you liked it or you didn’t. But if you didn’t like have two men on you at the same time, that is NOT rape, if you consented to have sex with them in the first place. All you have to do is close up shop and grab the dick and bend it hard if you want it to stop. Men don’t like that it hurts. Then kick him where it counts and say get the F out! If its not you’re place grab your stuff and run out. You can throw your clothes on while running out. But that still doesn’t mean it was rape.

Men we all NEED to watch out for women who say yes, then flip and say NO! These days use your phone and record her say yes I want to have sex. This way she can’t claim rape and falsely accuse you, especially if you are in sports or entertainment. It’s a 5 second question. Do it and save yourself the court fees and defamation.

The full interview will air this Sunday night on CBS.
