CelebNMusic247.com has learned that Morocco Omari was arrested and charged with domestic battery after police received a call from the victim.

According to reports, officers were called to the Hyde Park neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side by a 24-year-old woman who identified herself as Omari’s girlfriend. Omari girlfriend told police that he pushed her to the ground several times during an argument, causing scratches on her neck and chest.

Empire Star Arrest Details:

46-year-old Morocco Omari, the Empire star was arrested Wednesday afternoon, per the Chicago Sun Times. The incident took place in Chicago since Empire is currently in production filming the third season of the series on location.

Omari appeared in a Cook County courtroom on Thursday, charged with misdemeanor domestic battery.

Morocco Omari was released on a personal recognizance bond, according to court records. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 20.
