Everyone is making their predictions on who they think will win at the Globes. Our prediction is, Moonlight, a film about love, struggle, and perseverance.

It’s a film we feel that will surely be stealing wins from La La Land. You might say that Moonlight may be an underdog when put against the Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling film, but don’t count out the Barry Jenkins directed film. The film is a film about a young man dealing with his dysfunctional home life while he comes of age in Miami during the “War on Drugs” era.

The film beautifully captures the young man’s pain, suffering, desires and fight to become a man. If you looked at the odds thus far, Moonlight has been a major contender with The Spirit and the Critic awards. Being a frontrunner in the “Best Supporting Actor” category, Mahershala Ali gives an outstanding performance as Juan, a neighborhood drug dealer.

Which film will do you think will become victorious at this year’s Golden Globes? Will the stars line up and the odds lean in favor of Moonlight, or will La La Land take all seven nominations? Not to mention Casey Affleck’s film Manchester By the Sea. The other contender that has been winning audience goers over at theaters. It could be split evenly, but if we had to place a bet on this year’s Globes, our choice is Moonlight. The film is a masterpiece in film noir.
