(CelebNMusic247-News) Mona Scott-Young Kicked Off The Real
Mona Scott-Young may be a success with her Love and Hip Hop series, but when it comes to the new urban talk show called I, she’s just not a fit!
Here’s an exclusive from TheFameDriven [via 4UMF]:
TFD has exclusive info about the Fox new daytime talk show “The Real”, and why Mona Scott-Young, creator of VH-1?s “Love & Hip-Hop” franchise, was suppose to make the final cut, but did not. Hit the flip to catch these beats…
Fox television and Telepictures Productions have created a new round table styled show (think an urban younger version “The View”) called “The Real” hitting airwaves July 15th, starring Tamar Braxton (singer), Tamera Mowry-Housley (actress), Adrienne Bailon (socialite), Loni Love (Chelsea Lately comedian), and Jeannie Mai (Fashion Expert). It will showcase five busy career ladies dishing on everything from the latest celeb gossip to their views on love, sex, and relationships. The show was casted around Tamar, the shows “matriarch”, kind of hard to believe Fox wanted someone loud and over the top to cast the show around, but that’s what we’re told.
TFD is told exclusively that every urban actress, singer, comedian, fashion stylist in Hollywood auditioned for a spot on the show from Keisha Knight Pulliam, Vivica Fox,Eva Marcille, June Ambrose, to even scraping the bottom of the nutmeg jar and having Rocsi Diaz, Evelyn Lozada, and Amber Rose, just to name a few, audition for the prized five lady roundtable.
The biggest shocker is that we’re told Mona Scott-Young was slated to be one of the final five ladies casted, but at the very last minute that idea was put to a HALT! Sure, Mona will tell her peers and colleagues conflict with her “Love & Hip-Hop” schedule prevented her from doing the show, which would sound plausible, but that is not the case. We’re told the producers of the show loved Mona and were transitioning her to be the older experienced “Barbara Walters” of “The Real”, but when the higher up Fox Executives caught wind of Mona’s show “Love & Hip-Hop”, and it’s deplorable depiction of African-American women, they declined having her as one of the final five ladies. The network feared the backlash from viewers in regards to featuring a woman who is the Executive Producer of shows that promote physical and verbal altercations among women on “Love & Hip-Hop” and “The Gossip Game”. That was NOT the direction Fox wanted the show to start off in.
Wow…any comments?
