Kelly Fuller

We first spent a relaxing dinner at Azzurro Pizzeria E Enoteca in Napa which was delicious. Kellie is very down to earth and easy to talk to.

The Napa native has been in love with music since she was a child. Kellie Fuller is currently promoting her debut album Too Darn Hot. The wonderful Mike Greensill produced the album also doing the arrangements and playing the piano. The rest of her band for the album was: John Witala on bass, Vince Lateano on drums and Mads Tolling on violin. The photography on the album is by her talented husband, Tom Fuller.

Kellie met Mike Greensill and his wife, Wesla Whitfield when she had them on her radio show, “Kellie in the Morning.” It was meant to be as she went to see Mike perform and he called her up sing with him without any warning. Mike told her they should work together and Kellie wasted no time contacting him the next day. History in the making! Both Mike and his wife who is a jazz performer herself mentored Kellie with the album.

Kellie Fuller Talks Music and her debut album:

The album is amazing and Kellie has really put her heart and soul into it. Fuller’s debut album was at the Silo’s in Napa and you should keep an eye out for her to perform there on future events. In speaking with Kellie you are captivated and can feel her passion as she spoke about picking out her song choices. The former beauty pageant winner enjoys the jazz styles of idols such as Doris Day, Gladys Knight, Judy Garland and more. The Mom of two used her influences and told me she knew many of the songs from the Great American Songbook and much more growing up. It was Mike Greensill and Wesla Whitfield who assisted Kellie in finding her own unique style of voice.

One of the songs on the album, Bridge Over Troubled Water is extremely special to the multi-talented radio show personality. The Napa native used to sing songs with her sister growing up and even though it was hard to do at first, Kellie knew this song would be part of the album in tribute to her sister who passed away of cancer. Kellie wrapped Bridge Over Troubled water in just two takes as she really prefers us to hear the raw emotion and true feelings in her music. The energetic and magnetic personality does just that! Too Darn Hot is just as its title, hot and gets your blood flowing in the music and the vibes. When you hear her voice she draws you in and it touches your soul!

“I drew a picture of me standing on a stage with a microphone”

The Too Darn Hot artist has so much drive in her life that she exudes confidence and pride in all she touches. Kellie knew that she wanted to perform and be a singer since the second grade when a teacher had her draw what she wanted to be when she grew up. “I drew a picture of me standing on a stage with a microphone” she shared. The former Napa High and Napa Valley College student used to study with William Gorton for seven years in opera and classical voice training. The charismatic and delightful performer is a tremendous asset to her community and her music community.

The delightful and inspiring artist runs the Napa Valley Musicians Group for artists who work in Napa Valley. It is a place for artists to network and work together to help people understand the value and costs of performing and much more.

“Be as kind as possible, not to take the life of any creature and life is a balance.”

The Cappa State representative is also a Doula and midwife assistant, Doula trainer, Childbirth Educator and more. The former Miss Napa County has co-produced and directed the North Bay Opera Children’s Theater Network prior to raising her own family. Kellie has a daughter and a son of her own who are growing up fast. It looks like her daughter is following her Mom’s musical passion as she has a band of her own. Kellie is very proud of both of her children.

The Too Darn Hot singer shared some of her quotes: “Be as kind as possible, not to take the life of any creature and life is a balance.” Kellie Fuller lives up to her quotes as she is kind and truly knows how to balance her family work and make her dreams a reality. Be sure to keep your eyes out for Kellie Fuller as I know we are in for more musical treats form this incredibly talented woman.
