Kandi Burruss Wants Public Apology From Tameka Scott
Tonight on Watch What Happens Live Andy asked the question “why won’t Xscape reunite?”
Kandi revealed that one of her former band mates said some real foul sh-t about her and until she publically apologizes she will not concider a reunion of one of hip hop best girl groups.
While CelebNMusic247.com sat in anticipation Kandi’s girl Tiny revealed it was Tameka wo said she will apologize, but Kandi wants it to be a public apology.
Why did the beef between Tamika and Kandi resurface?
CelebNMusic247.com would like to recap who, when and what started the feud that is keeping Kandi pushing forward and NOT looking back. Last year, Kandi was put on blast when she said no to to performing at the So So Def Anniversary. Mrs Burruss said getting back together with the group was something she didn’t want to do because a former member attempted to smear her reputation out of jealousy of her new success without the group.
Kandi feud withTamika Scott started out of jealousy and she feel like the other girls (except Tiny) still don’t care for her and as a result, she doesn’t feel comfortable doing a reunion. Kandi also made sure to remind everyone that she was literally in high school when the drama first emerged.
“I’m just going to be honest and tell you, I don’t feel like all the members of my group, they don’t really have love for me like that. Tiny has love for me, but over the years people have told flat-out lies about me in public, dogged me, blamed me for everything that done went wrong in their life. To me, it’s just a situation where I feel like I don’t want to go back to that.”
“To this day now, I have to see people try to say that I had sex with Jermaine’s father. She said that just to make me look bad to people. She came back to apologize to me, but she never apologized in public. It’s not true. It was a flat-out lie. When people do stuff to try to damage you or bring you down to the public, that’s hateful.
“That’s [a reunion] just not something I want to revisit.”
Kandi said she has unresolved issues with her former group mates, and she doesn’t really feel like revisiting old drama. Though she didn’t definitively rule it out, Kandi said she doesn’t think she’ll ever be a part of any Xscape reunion.
“That’s just not something I want to revisit,”
Here is how Kandi explained it last year to Sway in the Morning:
“Let me just say – because I shouldn’t have to bring up stuff…Our group broke up like 18 years ago, But what Im pissed off about happened more recent. In the past, Tocha and I used to bump heads, but she’s not really who I’m really bothered by. It was Tamika that really pissed me off. She said some things about me. Some of the things she put out there, were straight up lies that she made up. I was so pissed at her because me and her used to be really tight and I just felt like what just what she did-to try to make me look bad to people. Instead of just saying ‘Kandi doing well,’ you gon’ make it seem like I screwed my way to top. And then add more people to the list that never existed, on my list. I’m like ‘No chick, don’t do me like that.’ I never do her like that. You know what I mean?”
