HOTTING UP marks the band’s fourth full-length album and follow-up to 2013’s Automatic which helped propel their career to a new level. For the new music, IRATION put together a team of acclaimed collaborators including Grammy Award-nominated producer and co-writer David Manzoor (Lupe Fiasco, R. Kelly, Lloyd), Grammy Award-nominated mixer Mark Needham (Imagine Dragons, The Killers, Fleetwood Mac) and engineer Will Brierre (Imagine Dragons, Youngblood Hawk, Chris Isaak). 2015 was a landmark year for the Hawaiian-bred, Santa Barbara-based group–Micah Pueschel (lead vocals/guitar), Adam Taylor(bass), Joseph Dickens (drums), Cayson Peterson (keyboard/synth) and Micah Brown (guitar/vocals). Beyond the album release, the band wrapped a successful 28-date fall leg of their “Hotting Up Tour” and had an impressive summer burning up the festival scene with performances at Outside Lands, Hangout, Riot Fest Denver, SunFest, Big Guava, Blaze N Glory, Cali Roots and many more.
Make sure to catch IRATION at BottleRock 2016, where they will be performing their hits from their nine-track album features the radio singles:
Iration has been getting rave reviews for their upbeat, reggae-rock sound:
The SFBay.ca wrote:
“Their upbeat, reggae-rock mixed with their confident, easygoing stage presence makes the band as a whole feel like an old friend. Playing favorites like ‘Summer Nights,’ ‘Back Around’ and the single ‘Reelin’ from their upcoming album, these high-energy Hawaiian rockers know how to work a crowd”.
While the Santa Barbara Independent had this to say about their headlining performance at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles:
“The audience echoed Pueschel’s every word, and the sense of overwhelming love, peace and fun filled the space. Pair this with the updated melodies and synths of Iration, and the classic evolved into a more rocking version of itself…Iration lived up to their reputation of constantly carrying that casual, surfer vibe. Even after all these years, they still play as if they were jamming in a neighbor’s garage with all their closest friends. Iration’s music is for the moment and for the good times, and their live show echoes just that.”
Make sure to catch IRATION at the Midway Stage on May 28th at 7:45-9:15pm.
See you there!!!
