After finding out that fans pick the winners at the MTV Movie Awards and NOT MTV themselves, Ice Cube retracks being robbed of Best Onscreen Duo Remark!

Ice Cube apparently felt like he was robbed of a sure deal when The MTV Movie Award for Best Onscreen Duo went to Paul Walker and Vin Diesel.

This is what Ice Cube had to say about his comedy “Ride Along” not winning the Best Duo Award at Sunday’s prestigious MTV Movie Awards.

Cube stuck his foot in his mouth when he told USA Today yesterday:

“We was robbed!”

“Shame on you MTV.”

Cube shoved his foot deeper in his mouth adding more insult to the win, which he didn’t realize that the votes are by fans, NOT MTV!

He said of his role alongside Kevin Hart

It was a “sympathy” vote!  “We had the best chemistry of everybody nominated, for us not to win was crazy.”

“We were the best onscreen duo, period.”

As for Walker, Ice Cube said:

“They should have gave it to him before he passed away.”

Irregardless of what happened to Paul Walker, what Ice Cube portrayed is poor sportsmanship and unprofessionalism. Not everything is going to be handed to you because Ride Along was a box office smash. Numbers don’t count at MTV Movie Awards, the fan votes do!

And this is NOT like typical Music Awards that give you an award because you made epic sales or made deals to parlay for awards like the labels did this year for Daft Punk. It is outright RUDE of Cube. He should be ashamed of himself.  What is so upsetting is that we love Ice Cube and look up to him as a rapper/actor/producer/writer, so to hear this is just upsetting. Com’on O’Shea Jackson we know your better than this. Everything happens for a reason and your time in the limelight will happen for you when it’s right. It wasn’t right this time.

Not only are we disappointed with Ice Cube, who didn’t stop to give a interview, received tons of flak on Twitter, so now he is backpedaling and spitting a new verse in regards to Vin Diesel and Paul Walker winning the Best Duo.

Of course, Cube’s been receiving a lot of flak, so he hit Twitter to backpedal and sing a completely different tune. Here’s the several tweets edited together [though some tweets appear to be deleted, but are preservedhere].

he tweeted.

“The MTV Awards. I wasn’t really mad we didn’t win.”

“So I would never diss the actors who won. Not even Paul Walker. Seriously people! Don’t believe the hype. We should honour people before they die. That’s all. MTV Awards. Ice Cube is not a sore loser. I was born losing. This winning shit is what I gotta get use to. Last tweet and I’mma leave it alone. Remember this: A lie travels further then the truth. Damn the devil is busy. And Paul Walker fans don’t trip. I was a fan too.”

The only thing we thing is more disrespectful than Ice Cube diss the Best Duo win to the Fast and Furious duo is MTV didn’t give a tribute to Paul Walker during the show – nor did they air a Vin Diesel-acceptance speech tribute that Diesel sent in advance from the set of “Fast & Furious 7.”

Your the F***ing Movie Awards take the gig serious MTV and stop making it so damn superficial. Oh and FYI and pardon our French but this year  was the worst ever. Talk about boring, uneventful, lame, whack, NOT funny, NOT entertaining, the list goes on….

Coachella was way better to be covering, sorry but MTV Movie Awards are on the decline…
