Yesterday, Hugh’s ex Kristina Shannon wrote:
“For everyone who thinks Hef’s death is a hoax since ur on my Instagram I’ll share something with ya… Playboy will not release a final statement that may effect the brand! Hef did not want anyone to know his condition which I have seen him in for years now! Hef did not want to make a big deal about his death he wants to be remembered for what he has done in his life and playboy! Come up with your own conclusions I don’t care but be respectful to me and my relationship with him and the playboy family!”
She continued:
“Here’s a little snippet of the condition he has been in for the past few years which we shouldn’t have to share with anybody! This was the last movie night we had with Hef! We have gone through a lot of changes the past couple years between our mothers death and Hefs condition We have gained weight and have been going through a very deep depression! Hef and playboy is the only family we have had for the past 10 years!! We are tired of the negative comments and judgment! Before you comment on our lives and our relationships make sure you’re perfect! ?”

24 hours later, The 90-year-old got word of the death hoax, and squashed the nonsense with tweet. He revealed that he was in fact watching the Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall classic, The Big Sleep. A Hollywood classic that follows a private detective who is hired by a rich family and before the case is over, he’s seen murder, blackmail, and what might be love.
Hugh’s people posted this on Twitter:
In regards to his health. The Hollywood Reporter followed up on the reports of his sickness, and a Playboy Enterprises representative said:
“Hugh Hefner is fine. It is no secret that over the past few years he has suffered with back pain that has made it a bit more challenging for him to get around, but at 90 years of age, he is enjoying his life and still very involved in the day-to-day activities of editing the magazine.”
Hugh recently sold the Playboy mansion for $100 million to his neighbor, with a deal which allows him to live in the mansion for the rest of his life.
Kendra Wilkinson Confirms Hugh Hefner is Still Alive!
Meanwhile, Kendra Wilkinson, another one of Hugh’s many women in his life confirmed via Twitter, that he’s NOT DEAD.
Last week she was venturing down memory lane thumbing through photos of her and Hef.
“Been going through pics these last couple days n finding gems. I would always tell Hef who people were n to take a pic with them so I could meet them n take a pic. Was too shy. ??? Rooting for Kim and Kanye ??”
