(CelebNMusic247) Gabrielle Union BLASTS GOP Senate candidate Todd Akin Over Rape Comment
Gabrielle Union is FURIOUS since GOP Senate candidate Todd Akin recently made some very ignorant remarks about rape.
Akin, who opposes abortion, blatantly said in cases of rape or incest or cases of “legitimate rape,” women won’t get pregnant.
Huh?
Is he joking or is he just that stupid?
During Monday’s show on MSNBC’s “NOW with Alex Wagner,” Gabrielle Union Sounded off against GOP Senate candidate Todd Akin, since he has been attacking a Planned Parenthood breast health event which provides family planning among its many services. Union is a participant and support of the organization.
She SLAMMED Akin’s remarks, saying:
“Todd Akin…I was shocked. I would say saddened except that it pissed me off.”
What is worse, is Republican candidate Mitt Romney said he was going to get rid the USA of planned parenthood. Mitt Romney is gonna take us back into the dark ages with his beliefs if voted President. This is like having Bush elected again. We already had one idiot in office for two terms we don’t need another, especially one that is going to ruin this country and throw us back into the 50s.
We don’t need to lose everything that our country has fought for, from racism, equal rights, equality, women’s rights, African-American rights, gay rights and more. Please vote this year. You may not like Obama, but he is on a mission to bring our country back on track. A Republican is only going to undo all his work and make the rest of the world hate us again.
In an interview with Oprah Winfrey’s, Gabrielle Union openly spoke about her traumatic experience of sexual assault.
Union explained to Oprah:
“When I was 19, I had a summer job at a shoe store. One night, as my coworker and I were closing up, a man robbed the shop and raped me at gunpoint. Afterward, I was in shock. I just couldn’t believe that something like that could happen. For days I asked myself, ‘Why me?’”
