(CelebNMusic247-News) Dwayne Johnson as Hercules Gets Release Date:
The Rock aka Dwayne Johnson is starring as the Demi-God in Brett Ratner’s Hercules. Looks like there will be no muscle padding for Dwayne because he’s solid.
CelebNMusic247 has learned that this Hercules flick will be an adaptation of Steve Moore’s graphic novel Hercules: The Thracian Wars. The plan for this film is to give the popular character with a darker tone.
Is this a new trend in Hollywood or is everything becoming darker and darker?
Here’s the drop:
Brett Ratner’s Hercules Dwayne Johnson is set in the title role as “a mercenary who turned his back on the gods following the loss of his family, ‘finding solace only in battle.’”
Currently the only other film slated for release in August of 2014 at the moment is Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, which opens on August 1st.
Which is a good look, since August is always the month for flicks the almost suck to be released. This way they have a fighting chance to make some money in the box office instead of flopping.
Now that release date has been locked down, production on the film should get underway later this year.
Paramount Pictures has announced that director Brett Ratner’s Hercules will hit theaters on August 8, 2014.
