Die Antwoord SHADES Drake With Homophobic Post!!!
Chappie stars and South African band Die Antwoord SHADES Drake with Homophobic Post and all hell is breaking loose as a result.
If you don’t know who Die Antwoord is, you will once you read this post. Not only has Yolandi Visser and Ninja of Die Antwoord Called Drake a Homo, they’re in the upcoming dystopian sci-fi film Chappie, and currently touring with rapper Drake in Australia.
The only problem is there is a feud going on between Die Antwoord and Drake since Visser recently posted “I’m a massive faggot” when speaking of rapper Drake, putting a more controversial spin on the South African outfit’s limelight.
While Drake and Die Antwoord are touring with the Future Music Festival, for some reason, Visser of Die Antwoord SHADES Drake with Homophobic Post
Visser posted a photo of Drake overlaid with the phrase, “I’m a massive faggot.”
The caption reads:
“Fuk. Drake was kak.”
Kak is slang for feces. In the US Visser was basically calling Drake sh-t.
Take a look below:
According to a Huffington Post interview from 2011, Die Antwoord weighed in on their member DJ Hi-Tek, who is gay, claiming a sort of diplomatic immunity against claims of homophobia.
Here is what Ninja had to say on the matter of homophobia and how the US perceives it:
“I’d like to set the record straight here once and for all. Number one: DJ Hi-Tek is gay. So there you go. Now you all know. Number two: Dj Hi-Tek says the word faggot doesn’t hold any power over him. Hi-Tek says faggot all the time cause he’s like, kind of taken that word and made it his bitch. Number three: Just to be fucking clear, the Antwoord is not homophobic… Number four: It comes across to us that some people from America are heavy sensitive about the use of certain words. But the thing is, what you need to understand is, we’re not from America. We’re from South Africa. And South Africa people aren’t so pumped up about these words.”
Watch:
There you have it. I’m sure as hell no fan of Drake, but dropping homophobic high-school insults on an international platform is stupid on an alarming level.
