According to Cynthia Bailey, she has tired of her sexy Jamaican. With the premiere of Real Housewives of Atlanta on Sunday Bailey’s sister, Malorie, asks the 47-year-old reality TV star:
“Are you attracted to Peter, even with his clothes off?”
Bailey responds, referring to her husband of five years, Peter Thomas:
“No.”
It’s a scenario that, unfortunately, is all too familiar for many married couples. Moshe Ratson, founder of spiral2grow Marriage & Family Therapy, tells The Post:
“The reason that many couples first get together is based on physical attraction.”
“However, as time passes, one may gain weight, so that is one reason the attraction fades.”
Ratson, a licensed marriage and family therapist for 15 years, says that this behavior is more prevalent in men than in women. But that’s changing as women gain more sexual freedom.
Ratson says:
“Historically, physical appearance is more [important] to the man. But more and more you see this becoming an issue for women as well.”
Does that mean a possible divorce could be in the story line for Bailey and Thomas?
Ratson doesn’t feel they will split – She believes that even though the couple is no longer physically attracted to each other does not mean that they will divorce and part ways.

Even Bailey can differentiate between lust and love. In the upcoming premiere episode of RHOATL Cynthia is heard telling her sister:
“Physical attraction is important, but I am more attracted to Peter’s mind.”
As for Ratson, that’s a statement she can get behind.
“Overall, it is the emotional connectivity [that matters] in marriage.”
