Despite all the backlash from Dukes of Hazzard star Ben Jones, the cast of Party Down South is coming back for a second season!
Even though Party Down South is CMT’s highest rated TV show to date, the liquid lushes of the south are getting majorly screwed by the network all because of the dotted line!
CelebNMusic247.com reported about the cast of Party Down South is a battle for higher paychecks, because they the “PDS” regulars were only being paid $500.00 per episode.
Yeah $500.00 bucks to get crunk and act stupid on screen sound worth it, right?
Wrong, Lil Bit, Mattie, Daddy, Lyle, Lauren, Walt, Murry and Tiffany felt slighted and decided to refuse to work unless CMT paid them $7,500 an episode, which would be a hefty 1,400% pay raise for seaon 2.
CelebNMusic247.com got word that CMT decided to stand their ground since they’re claiming that ALL the cast members signed on for 2 seasons at the same rate. They REFUSED to budge so now the the “PDS” regulars have throw up the white flag and have agreed to comeback for another season.

Oh yeah, CMT dangled a carrot, promising bigger paychecks in Season 3. We will put money on CMT that they will probably increase their more popular cast members quietly and since Murry said he’s cool with $500 he might want to reconcider.
If they don’t get an increase for season 2 then we bet Mattie, Lyle, Lil Bit, Daddy, Walt, Tiffany and Lauren getting increases with Murry holding up the back end. We’ll see how it plays out, because we know the producers are surely getting paid.
