It seems Whitney Houston’s mother, Cissy Houston, and sister-in-law, Marion Houston are pulling their weaves off over Whitney’s Will.
The two have filed a request in court to change the terms of Whitney Houston’s will, because they feel they need to protect Bobbi Kristina’s inheritance.
How sad. CNM247 understands they mean well, but this is ridiculous.
Here’s the deal:
Whitney made her Will on February 3, 1993 – signed and sealed.
Bobbi Kristina is the sole beneficiary, and NO Cissy nor Bobby Brown are to get any of it.
Whitney Houston created a “testamentary trust” for Bobbi Kristina, so she would receive money over a spaced out over time instead of all at once.
Bobbi Kristina is set to receive e 10% of the estate when she turns age 21, which would be approx $200,000. Then another one-sixth at age 25 [approx $350,000], and the full balance at age 30 [$20 Million].
Not only does Bobbi Kristina get everything, which means whatever royalties and other assets the estate now has or will earn in the future pass on to her.
Cissy is furious, because she doesn’t trust Nick’s motives and if he is with Bobbi for love or money. Whitney’s family members clearly do not trust that Bobbi Kristina can protect herself when she begins receiving money.
They feel she is a target because of her kind giving nature.
