The hip hop community was shocked last year when music mogul Chris Lightly took his own life after an argument with his estranged wife!
Lighty’s family and rapper 50 Cent was not convinced that Lightly killed himself as they expressed doubt that the successful music mogul would go as far and ended his life.
Which led 50 Cent to hire an attorney to investigate Lightly cause of death.
The conclusion? The NYPD did not do a thorough investigation…

According to attorney Scott Leemon, after hours of interviews and reviewing a number of documents, many questions are still unanswered.
Scott Leemon told AllHipHop:
“The main problem that we encountered was that the NYPD did not do a thorough investigation into Chris’ death.”
“In fact, what they did do was cursory, at best.”
Scott Leemon said he is urging the Bronx County District Attorney to open a formal investigation into the death of Chris Lighty.
