Our Take on Charlie’s Angels reboot:

So, this means its about three women who fight crime and get the bad guy all while looking flawless and having great hair. Yeah, it sounds like a real fresh take on the already hashed out story-lines we’ve seen over five seasons and in two movies.

Maybe this time the women are lesbians or they men instead of women. You know like a male version of a woman based film. Kind of like the ‘So-called’ fresh take on Ghostbusters.

Who are we kidding, no matter how the writers spin it, the movie is about bad girls turning good and fighting crime. Yes, it’s all new, which means, new actresses taking on the same roles as we’ve seen before. Hopefully they don’t suck since Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu are a hard act to follow.

Director Elizabeth Banks is also producing alongside Max Handelman through their Brownstone production company, with Andrea Giannetti overseeing the project for Sony.

The cool thing is Sony is on a woman empowerment tip, so expect a lot more female based movies each year, like this years Rough Night. And the upcoming Miss Bala remake and a big screen adaptation of Barbie.

We will keep you posted…
