EPIC moment was the theme today when it comes to Killer Mike who introduced the candidate Bernie Sanders at rallies so Bernie Sanders Introduces Run the Jewels at Coachella 2016
Today’s eclectic moment of Coachella goes to RTJ when Sen. Bernie Sanders introduced Killer Mike and for El-P aka Run the Jewels at Coachella 201.
Here are the Many reasons why the Run the Jewels set was historical:
What made the Run the Jewels sets one of the more talked about moments today was that Nas and singer and guitarist Gary Clark Jr. all joined Run the Jewels during their Saturday set.
Before Run the Jewels (Killer Mike and El-P) hit the stage, Sanders gave an introduction on the large video screens to the side of the main stage of the band where he said one of his highlights was getting to know Killer Mike and for El-P to “keep up the great work.” Sanders was reportedly in Rome and Brooklyn, New York, but he still made time to make a video for RTJ at Coachella.
The group then tore their set which featured songs like their new collaboration with DJ Shadow titled “Nobody Speak.” Shadow Shadow came out and when he started scratching, the cameras zoomed in on the DJ’s fingers manipulating the music.
The next meme moment was when Gangsta Boo came out to “Love Again (Akinyele Back)” to loud cheers.
After El-P asked aloud, “We on schedule?” the group started performing “Blockbuster Night Pt. 2” and out came Despot who is featured on the iTunes bonus song off El P and Killer Mike’s “Run The Jewels 2” album.
Nas described the duo as “my favorite group” before he shouted out their record label Mass Appeal (of which he reportedly has a label deal with).

We knew RTJ was going to be off the chain when Killer Mike took to his IG and said:
“Hello Cali. I came to fuck Shit up. #coachella #RTJ”
