Fellow blogger and media outlet B. Scott who has been working with the BET Awards for years faced discrimination last year and has been battling the Network since.
Back in April, CelebNMusic247.com learned that a judge dismissed the discrimination lawsuit brought against BET by transsexual Internet personality B. Scott. BET forced B to tone down his make-up and take off his high heel shoes moments before he was to host a red carpet segment for the BET Awards.
BET has offered to settle with B but he is refusing to settle with the Network since the court ruled that B. Scott was ordered to pay BET’slegal fees which totaled $279,000.00.
BET is willing accept $15k if B agrees not to appeal the ruling, but B. has decided to move forward with his appeal demanding $150k in damages.
B tells TMZ:
“No one will tell me who I should be, how I should present myself, or what I do with my life.”
We remember the trouble B went through and all the prior years on the carpet BET NEVER had a problem with his makeup, heels or attire.
The judge should reconsider since this is blatant discrimination.
