Could it be true? Did Amy Schumer Get Goldie Hawn To Return to the big screen in an upcoming comedy? This is awesome, we love Goldie Hawn and Amy Schumer. The two of them onscreen will be hilarious!!!
Find out if Amy Schumer got the beautiful comedic icon Goldie Hawn to return to the big screen…
Can you believe that it’s been 15 long years since Goldie Hawn took her final bow on the silver screen after the 2002 movie, The Banger Sisters. Amy Schumer got Goldie back!
AWESOME!
We are happy to announce that is ALL about to change thanks to the tireless efforts of Amy Schumer!
Amy Schumer spoke to The Los Angeles Times, recalling her first incredibly awkward encounter with Hawn aboard an airplane.
Amy says:
“I met her a couple of years ago and told her there’s a movie I really want to make with her. And she was very nice. “OK, honey.” She probably thought I was a psycho. “OK, crazy person.”
Then I’d meet her at different things, saying, “We’re making this movie together.”
She adds:
“I think, eventually, some people got in her ear and told her I wasn’t crazy, that I make things.”
The film is written by Schumer alongside her sister Kim and Ghostbusters scribe, Katie Dippold.
Schumer opened up a little about the premise of the new feature and revealed a slight tidbit about who Hawn will be playing. According to Schumer, Hawn will be playing her mother in the film. Schumer’s character is meant to go on a trip to South America with her boyfriend, but he breaks up with her last minute. Instead, her mom accompanies her because Schumer’s character doesn’t want to go (and drink) alone.
Along with this mother/daughter comedy, Hawn is also set to reunite with her The First Wives Club co-stars Diane Keaton and Bette Midler for a new Netflix original movie called Divanation. The film will see the trio star as former members of a famous pop group forced to reunite after a nasty split and 30 year estrangement. Not too different from the opening premise of First Wives Club.
Schumer clarified that it’s definitely more of a starring vehicle for her legendary co-star, an actress she has admired since childhood.
“It’s a Goldie Hawn movie and she’s gorgeous. Goldie … Hawn! I don’t remember the first time I didn’t love her!”
Al we can say is that we hope that this movie gets made. Goldie Hawn is our all time favorite…She is an amazing actress. Her movies are always watched in our offices.
