CelebNMusic247.com has the latest on Terrence Howard who told USA Today about life after the final season of Empire.
Empire star Terrence Howard said:
I’m done with acting. I’m done pretending.
After Howard was asked “you’re no longer acting, and you’re focusing solely on philanthropy” he quickly replied:
No, not philanthropy; I’m just focusing on bringing truth to the world.
Some people are assuming that his desire to quit acting comes from his co-star and longtime friend, Jussie Smollett.
Smollett was written out of the final series following allegations that he faked a hate crime hoax.
Howard spoke out in defense of Smollett at the time.
In case you don’t recall, Howard also penned a letter to Fox Studios, urging producers to keep him on the show:
The events of the past few weeks have been incredibly emotional for all of us. Jussie has been an important member of our EMPIRE family for the past five years and we care about him deeply. While these allegations are very disturbing, we are placing our trust in the legal system as the process plays out.
The letter continued:
We are also aware of the effects of this process on the cast and crew members who work on our show and to avoid further disruption onset, we have decided to remove the role of ‘Jamal’ from the final two episodes of the season.
