Eminem Providing Soundtrack to Southpaw!!!

After turning down the lead role in the upcoming boxing flick Southpaw, 50 Cent’s friend Eminem Providing Soundtrack to Southpaw.

Eminem said NO to the lead role, but yes to making the music for the boxing film that Jake Gyllenhaal strenuously trained for over a 4-month period. 

As for Eminem’s music for the film, it will release via his label Shady Records in July.

Shady Records president Paul Rosenberg told Billboard: “We have been involved in developing Southpaw since its inception and Eminem has dedicated himself to ensuring that this film captured his passion for the project through the music.”

The lead single from the album will be ‘Phenomenal’ which has been produced by DJ Khalil.

Southpaw stars Jake Gyllenhaal as a left-handed prize-fighter who suffers a family tragedy after winning a big title. He is forced to put his life back together to earn the respect of his young daughter.

The Prisoners actor had to gain 15 pounds of muscle for the role.

Training Day’s Antoine Fuqua directs and Rachel McAdams, 50 Cent, Rita Ora, Forest Whitaker and Naomie Harris star in the drama, which will be released on July 24.
