Thank God, Ellen DeGeneres will host the 2014 Oscars after last years dreadful 2013 Academy Awards with host Seth MacFarlane.
This marks Ellen DeGeneres second Oscars hosting gig
In a statement announcing DeGeneres’ selection Friday, the Motion Picture Academy saying:
“There are few stars today who have Ellen’s gift for comedy, with her great warmth and humanity. She is beloved everywhere.”
DeGeneres joked:
“I am so excited to be hosting the Oscars for the second time. You know what they say — the third time’s the charm.”
MacFarlane hosted the show this past March, but failed on all levels after being criticized inside and outside the industry for not presenting the movie industry in its best light. His selection was widely seen as an attempt to bring younger viewers back to the Oscarcast, but reality it was an EPIC FAIL!
The Oscar show will be telecast live at 8 p.m. March 2, 2014, on ABC.
