Duke Middle Linebacker Kelby Brown’s Career Over!!!
Looks like it’s time to initiate the backup plan for Duke Middle linebacker Kelby Brown’s career Over since his ACL injury is too severe.
CelebNMusic247.com has caught wind of the career changing injury. We have this report via ESPN:
Duke starting linebacker Kelby Brown has re-torn his left ACL, ending his career, the school announced Tuesday.
After suffering a torn ACL for the fourth time, Kelby Brown’s playing career at Duke is over.
Brown, projected to be an All-ACC selection in 2015, but he missed all of last season after tearing his ACL during fall practice. Obviously football was not in the cards for Brown, since he reinjured his knee last week.

Duke coach David Cutcliffe said in a statement:
“It’s difficult to put into words the feeling of heartbreak I have for Kelby and his family.”
“While we will certainly miss his athletic abilities and leadership as one of the best linebackers to play at Duke, what is most important above all else is Kelby’s health. He is a truly special young man who is destined to accomplish great things in his life. Kelby’s strengths lie in his core values, and I know that despite this setback, he will continue to play an integral part of our program’s success both on and off the field.”
Brown has had to deal with ACL injuries since he arrived on campus. Earlier in his career, Brown tore his right ACL twice, in 2010 and 2012. Still, he was able to come back to have a breakout season in 2013, earning All-ACC honors after finishing with 114 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and two interceptions. He ranked second in the ACC in tackles per game (8.77).
