(CelebNMusic247) DMX Retracts Drake Diss!
During a innterview with DJ Whoo Kid‘s Shade 45 show, DMX backed off of his recent anti-Drake comments.
DMX, bron Earl Simmons, revealed that he has no issues with the Young Money star, despite previous remarks that included threatening to beat Drake up in an elevator.
DMX explains:
“I have no… I mean, the n***a ain’t do nothing to me. There ain’t no reason, son. I don’t want to beat him up. It ain’t that serious.”
The comment was a referance if it was back in the day, that was something X would have done. It was NOT a current threat. However, DMX did reiterate his belief that Drake not including Missy and Timbaland on the proposed Aaliyah project he’s executive producing is wrong.
That is NOT the issue either, Missy and Timbo wants nothing to do with the project, because Aaliyah was family to them, she was a very important part of their lives and the project did NOT feel right to either of them.
X expressed his views saying:
“That’s disrespectful. To have access to this lady’s music and lyrics and everything, and then just do what you want to do with it?”
“At least honor her tradition… If that’s what she did, then why wouldn’t you do the same thing?”
DMX also revealed that he’s working on a gospel album.
“I’m not going to even put my foot in my mouth. I don’t have a date. But it’s almost done, it’s pretty much done. When it does come out, it will be the right time.”
“I think I’m going to put all the prayers on there, and I have all new gospel songs. Every album has a gospel song as well, but I may use a few of them, I don’t know. But like I said, I have all new joints. The ‘Angel’ joint is bananas. The joint is so powerful that while I was recording it, I broke down and started crying in the booth.”
