DJ Yella Reveals Who Broke Up N.W.A., one of the founding member of NWA spoke about how the group dissolved after the second record.
DJ Yella explains how the film Straight Outta Compton was accurate when it came to getting contracts after being on their 40 day tour. He explains that the tour (their first) was the “Best Moment of N.W.A.” in the groups history.
Antoine Carraby talks about how Ice Cube left the group and how the group’s feelings at the time were made known on “Message to B.A.,” short for Benedict Arnold.
He goes on to say that the incident took place right before the Dee Barnes incident, that ignited the infamous beating of Barnes in a women’s bathroom in a club.

Shortly after the incident Ice Cube’s legendary diss track “No Vaseline,” which DJ Yella thought was “cool,” despite being named on the track. He added that all of NWA knew that Cube “got us on that one.”
The conversation then turned to the group dissolving after their second album, “N****z4Life,” was mixed, Antoine Carraby aka DJ Yella made it clear that the group was over.
The group still did the videos, but it was outside people [the groups manager being too greedy] broke up the group.
