Three 6 Mafia’s DJ Paul is not backing down from the group’s trademark controversial raps. He is keeping it real and points out that just because a song raps about drugs doesn’t mean go out and do it. #FACTS
DJ Paul recently told TMZ over the holiday season while keeping it 100 about what his music is about.
People are gonna do what they wanna do regardless. It’s good [Juicy J tweeted that] and that’s what he felt he needed to do. I kinda do it as well. I’ve been doing it for years and years. There’s old interviews of me popping up and talking about [the dangers of drug use].
He continued:
It’s all about moderation in whatever you do. If you can stay off drugs, that’s totally the best thing in the world to do. Folks don’t do what you hear in the song.
DJ Paul said:
I see my favorite actor Robert De Niro killing people in movies all the time. I’m not gonna go do it cause he’s doing it. It’s all entertainment… I can only talk about what I know and what I’ve been through and things that I did. What am I supposed to talk about now? Science books. I can only talk about street stuff because that’s all I know. That’s where I come from
His words come just days after group member Juicy J tweeted, apologizing for encouraging anybody to do drugs through his music.
