Did Drake Just Diss Cash Money???
During his performance at the Palace of Auburn in Detroit, during his “Jungle Tour,” Drake Just Diss Cash Money for being wishy-washy with the money.
CelebNMusic247.com has this report via AHH:
During his set Drizzy spit this verse:
“Had n—– tell me to my face how we were family and how they loved me / Why they was skimming off the budget, now when I see them they’re the ones acting funny.”
Since there has been an ongoing feud with Lil Wayne and Birbman over money, Drake’s diss seems to come as an addition. It NOT likely that the Canadian rapper was talking about his own label OVO since he’s the boss.
Plus, it’s safe to assume, however, that most people would agree that he’s talking about Cash Money, especially since Lil Wayne is beefing with the label too.
Up until now, there haven’t been any reports that Drizzy has been short changed by Cash Money, but the label has been accused of not paying artists for years.
Drake never said that he was planning to leave Cash Money, but according to Hip-Hop DX his last release “If You’re Reading This Its Too Late” fulfilled his contractual obligation to the label.
“Originally we were in talks to release it for free and have DJ Drama host and even make it an official “Gangsta Grillz,” said KP, the owner of Datpiff.
“However, the label was not in favor of that and they struck an agreement to release the project the retail route and it would count towards one of his albums,” he added.
Drizzy’s next album “Views From the 6” is supposed to come out later this year and up until now most assumed it would be released by Cash Money, but maybe it won’t.
Though, Drake’s Views From the 6 mixtape is available on Datpiff.
