Demi Lovato Back in Rehab Following Meme BacklashCelebNMusic247.com reports that Demi Lovato reportedly checks in to rehab days after sharing a 21 Savage deportation joke on Twitter.

It’s been said that Demi Lovato returned to a rehabilitation center in Hawaii, where she received treatment after last year’s overdose.

The “Sober” pop singer was rushed to L.A.’s Cedars-Sinai hospital after the police responded to what appeared to be a heroin overdose.

Of all people, she should realize that making fun of someone else’s misery is NOT cool, especially after she was ridiculed by social media for her addiction. Lovato struggles with addiction is serious since she only lasted six years being sober before her near-fatal relapse.

Latin Times reports:

Lovato voluntarily checked herself back in rehabilitation amid a backlash against her. In early February, she posted a meme that offended rappers like Wale after British-born 21 Savage was detained in Atlanta by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Many created jokes and memes on the rapper’s unfortunate potential deportation.

Lovato landed herself a swarm of criticism after she posted a joke via Twitter.

The singer’s joke read:

So far 21 Savage memes have been my favorite part of the Super Bowl.

Following the Super Bowl, Demi Lovato FIRED BACK at the critics stating what she was laughing at, but it failed:

Unlike the many who made remarks about 21 Savage, Lovato’s stood out because she is famous. The backlash was so bad that she deactivated her Twitter.

It is not confirmed if her returning back to rehab is caused by depression from the backlash or relapse in addiction.
