Clippers Hold Silent Protest Against Racist Owner
Earlier today Chris Paul, DeAndre Jordan and fellow Clippers held a silent protest against their racist owner against their racist owner Donald Sterling.
CelebNMusic247.com has learned via NB that the team held a silent protest against their racist owner during warm-up for today’s match by taking their shoot around gear and dumping them at the center court.
Their statement spoke LOUD to fans as they wore their Clippers shirts inside out and wore black armbands and black socks.
During a pep talk, team leader Chris Paul was overheard telling teammates:
“We’re going to be one. Everything we do, we do it together. Stay together. Play ball.”
Clipper owner Donald Sterling was told to stay home and no longer attend Clippers games due to his disgusting racist remarks. However, his wife of 50 years, Rochelle, was there across from the Clipper bench in all black supporting the protest.
Even though, Rochelle was told NOT to do an on-screen interview, she did address her husband’s remarks:
“I do not condone those statements that you heard. I do not believe in them. I am not a racist. I never have been, never will be. The team is the most important thing to my family.”
She also told TMZ:
“Our family is devastated by the racist comments made by my estranged husband. My children and I do not share these despicable views or prejudices. We will not let one man’s small-mindedness poison the spirit of the fans and accomplishments of the team in the city we love. We are doing everything in our power to stand by and support our Clippers team.”
As more mud gets thrown in regards to Donald Sterling being a racist, his wife claims she was completely unaware of her husbands racist views. However, outraged fans have done some digging and pulled up this piece about an old housing discrimination lawsuit, which she was named along with her husband:
Do you believe Rochelle not knowing her husband of 50 years racist views?
Thoughts?
