We are still wondering why ABC decided to bring back the dreadful American Idol. It had its run, and sorry to say its time for The Voice and The Four.
This week, American Idol proved why it’s become completely NOT interesting. Read on to see what Clay Aiken had to say about the reboot…
American Idol lost all of its juice after Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj were judges.
The show fell off CelebNMusic247.com’s radar after it lost the enthusiam of Paula Abdul, the cool of Randy Jackson and the harshness of Simon Cowell, which was that perfect blend.
These day an over paid Katy Perry is utterly lackluster and way too nice. But all the judges are like paint drying. Lionel Ritchie is just nice filler and country singer Luke Bryan also suffers the overly niceness that is making the show suck. What is it, millenial singers can’t take harsh criticism?
Clay Aiken is amongst the many who have been chimming in to let viewers know that American Idol sucks these days. For some reason its coming back for another season. We guess, Katy Perry will be back to fulfill her $25 million dollar check. Sorry but she’s NOT worth the money. It’s a competition show, not, “my best friends and I are singing together on American Idol show.”
Clay Aiken weighed after Sunday’s epsiode:
Aiken saw Catie Turner forget the words to The Bangles “Manic Monday” and the judges praised her for recovering the flub.
Were Katy, Lionel and Luke watching the same performance?
Aiken asked:
Remember back 2002 – 2003 when @AmericanIdol was a high stakes singing competition & we were all waiting and nervously anticipating what @SimonCowell had to say? Why’s it now totally without critique and essentially just a Vacation Bible School talent show? ? #MakeIdolGreatAgain
He pointed out how Idol was so much better back when it had real judges.
He added:
So when I was on @AmericanIdol I slightly flubbed some lyrics. Nowhere near this noticable.. https://youtu.be/tt1_QVQ8KMQ and even Paula gave me hell. This girl gets a therapy session?! ? Really? Seriously??! What happened to the show we loved? #MakeIdolGreatAgain
Here is what Clay was talking about, because there was no recovery:
Boo American Idol!
