(CelebNMusic247-News) Chris Kirkpatrick Responds To NSYNC Reunion Rumors
Don’t get your hopes up if you think NSYNC will be reuniting like the Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees, or New Kids on the Block!
The guys of NSYNC gave a glimpse of what they used to be on Sunday night (Aug 25) with mini-reunion during a 20 minute Justin Timberlake performance at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards.
Not only are the five members of the boy (now man) band not that interested in it, but they might not even like each other all that much. Last night we told you the alleged incident that went down back stage between Justin’s camp and former NSYNC member JC Chasez, thanks to one of our inside source who was backstage at the MTV VMAs.
Now Chris Kirkpatrick said Monday on a Florida radio show:
“No [tour].”
“This was for Justin to get the Video Vanguard Award. … “It was funny because all of us getting back together, we remembered what we love about each other and what we hate about each other. It was just a bit of fun.”
Also troubling for Kirkpatrick, aside from the leftover tension underlying the NSYNC guys’ brotherly bond, is that he just can’t pop and lock like he used to.
Kirkpatrick confessed:
“Honestly, when he talked to us I thought we were just coming out with mic stands and singing.”
“When I came home from rehearsals my girl’s like ‘Why are you drenched?’ … I’m too old for this! I was so worried about not messing up for him.”
JC Chasez also shot down reunion hopes when he appeared on Ryan Seacrest‘s show the morning after their performance, toeing a similar line as Kirkpatrick:
“It was just about five guys who were great friends who spent 10 or 15 years together touring and we wanted to give that back to our fans, but we were there mainly to support Justin.”
Lance Bass at least sounded more optimistic about the group getting back together.
Lance told the AP:
“It would be lovely to do [a reunion tour], but we’ve go nothing planned.”
“Who knows what will happen when he’s off tour. It’s simply not part of the conversation right now. We just focused on that one performance .If we did anything like that, I think we would come up with something real special where we could actually call it ‘The Reunion.'”
