Chris Brown Settles Two Civil Lawsuits

R&B Pop singer Chris Brown Settles Two Civil Lawsuits in efforts to clean up his prior legal problems from two separate altercations from last year.

The “Only” singer was able to avoided further jail time, probation or a large fine by pleading guilty to assaulting a man outside a hotel in Washington, D.C. back in September.

Unfortunately for Chris, the victim filed a civil suit afterwards.  Luckily Brown has now settled the civil suit by paying him $100,000

In addition to his D.C. court case, Brown was able to reach a settlement with the cousin of hip-hop star Frank Ocean, Sha’Keir Duarte, who launched a $3 million civil lawsuit against Brown in January. Duarte accused him of provoking a parking lot brawl in Hollywood.

That second civil case was recently settled for around $20,000 helping Brown to clear the slate on some of his legal problems.
